Access control

Even if it sounds trivial: If an unauthorized persons gets to your computer, receives automatically access to your files.

The access to a pc takes place normally with entering of a password. But not in every corporation this method offers enough security. Passwords are exchanged between the users or are spyed out by hackers.

A better solution are delivering socalled biometrical authentification systems like fingerprint or a smart card reader, which only grant the user access, if they insert the correct card in the special reader. Also USB tokens are possible nowadays (Rainbow iKey).

If an user is authenticated in a network, the user can receive individual access rights, like for example access to a specific folder or programs, access to the mail system or for the usage of certain applications.
