Multiple Options for Secure Client Connections
SecureTransport is secure client/server software, made up of the SecureTransport Server and Client. The SecureTransport Client turns your PC or UNIX workstation into a powerful, secure, and reliable download and upload manager. The Clients cover a range of needs, from ad-hoc interactive transfers through a Web browser to fully automated batch transfer jobs on mainframe platforms.
Available in a Variety of Configurations
SecureTransport Clients come in "thin" and "thick" varieties to meet diverse needs in diverse IT environments.
For environments where a thick client is not practical, users navigate via customized HTML screens (using Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator) to communicate via HTTP or HTTP/S. The SecureTransport ActiveX Control gives Internet Explorer users the added reliability and efficiency of guaranteed delivery and auto-restarts, data integrity verification, and mid-file recovery with checkpoint/restart.
Platform-specific clients for Windows and UNIX, allow users to securely and reliably exchange data over FTP/S or HTTP/S, whether the transfer is ad-hoc, a scheduled batch transfer, or initiated by an application script. All transfers ensure guaranteed delivery, data integrity, and checkpoint/restart - even through a firewall or proxy server and over unstable network connections or dial-up lines.

SecureTransport provides a fully functional GUI client for Windows. Users can select files and folders in a Windows Explorer-like interface, drag and drop files for transfer s between the server and the local disk, set up schedules for ad-hoc or recurring transfers, and view the status of any transfer in a transfer queue window. It also provides multiple connection profiles with pre-set attributes for each connection.
A command-line client for UNIX runs on Solaris, HP-UX, AIX and Linux. It provides a full range of core features and can be used interactively, incorporated into scripts, or used for automated, unattended transfers using the UNIX icon scheduler.
For z/OS and IBM iSeries (AS/400), the Tumbleweed SecureTransport Server supports third-party secure FTP clients available on those platforms.
