SSH Tectia Connector is a transparent, corporate end-user desktop client software that provides dynamic tunneling of client/server connections without the need to re-configure the applications. It enables corporate end-users to connect to business applications securely and automatically when an IP connection is established, while being fully invisible to the user. SSH Tectia Connector is based on the Secure Shell standard from the original developers of the protocol.

SSH Tectia Connector has been designed to provide transparent protection of business application traffic between the corporate users' workstations and the servers. As an invisible and centrally managed desktop software, SSH Tectia Connector can eliminate the need for end-user training and helpdesk costs thus reducing the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) of the security system.

With the adoption of corporate applications such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), the flow of unprotected sensitive business information is ever increasing in the
corporate LANs. Various internal and external threats such as data eavesdropping from the internal network are creating risks that cannot be managed with the traditional perimeter security solutions, such as firewalls, alone. SSH Tectia Connector provides end-to-end strong authentication and encryption of TCP/IP-based business application traffic between the workstation and the server. Thanks to the transparent application tunneling capabilities, SSH Tectia Connector can capture and tunnel the application connections in a dynamic way, without the need to configure the application port and host settings. In addition to this, SSH Tectia Connector is fully invisible to the corporate end users.

SSH Tectia Connector, when used in conjunction with SSH Tectia Manager, allows IT professionals to seamlessly update and administer desktop security policies from a central location, eliminating the need for on-site configuration.

SSH Tectia Connector protects the TCP/IP connections between two computers. The encryption of the connection is done on the application layer, which means that the security provided by SSH Tectia Connector is available regardless of the network connection speed or type.
