The new personalized iKeys of SafeNet/Rainbow are cheap tokens, which can be used on every workstation with an USB-socket (Universal Serial Bus). The tokens are offering the reliability, simplicity and security of smartcards and cryptographical tokens, without the trouble and expenditure of a reader.

The SafeNet iKeys are small lightweights, which are simply be carried along on a bunch of keys or in a appointment book. Like for smartcards, there are tausends of possibilies for usage, on which normally passwords are asked for. The Rainbow iKeys offer as much space as needed for personal informations and proof of authority (or authentications), as well as also an independent processor for authentification and for network security applications. Rainbow iKeys are ideal as access control for network services or everywhere else, where today passwords, cookies, digital signatures or smartcards are being used.
